Your hairdressing shears are finely crafted professional tools. Our process uses a flat hone - designed to sharpen the convex edge, followed by 1,500 and 3,000 grit Japanese water stones to finish the cutting edge so your shears cut with buttery smoothness.
Fabric and Upholstery Shear Sharpening
Fabric and Upholstery shears are single-bevel edges, they need to be sharp, but don't require a flat-hone. We use a water-cooled, top of the line Tormek T-8 to get your shears sharp without ruining the temper of the steel - water keeps the heat to acceptable levels.
